THE SHORT ANSWER

Gillby brings the forecast, tides, coastal places and planning tools into one view. This short film shows how a day comes together: choose an activity, place and time, compare your window, and check the details before heading out. The full film runs 1 minute 41 seconds.

AT A GLANCE

  • The full film is 1:41; the journal preview is 20 seconds.
  • Recorded app footage shows examples, not today’s conditions.
  • The soundtrack is instrumental. A visual overview follows below.

Start with your day

What are you doing, where are you going, and when? The film starts with those three choices, then moves into the map and the hourly forecast. The idea is to spend less time stitching together different tabs and more time understanding your water window.

See the Florida water guide for a place to start, or open the map and explore your own stretch of coast.

What you see in the film

  • An activity, place and time selected in Gillby.
  • The map, an inlet overview and the hour-by-hour forecast.
  • Different activities and boat details, followed by planning tools.
  • Source and date checks, plus Gillby connected to AI assistants.

The footage is a recorded product walkthrough. Any forecast, alert, tide or date visible in it belongs to that recording. Open Gillby for updated information and check official forecasts and local conditions before making a trip decision.

Why I made it

I wanted to show the whole flow, from the first question about the day to the details you check before leaving. Gillby grew out of my own boat days around Deerfield, Boca and Pompano. The story behind the app explains where it started.

The film also shows another way to use Gillby: bring its tools into an AI conversation. The AI connection guide walks through that setup.
