How DockRank works
DockRank is Gillby’s reproducible facility score out of 100: five points per recorded launch lane (maximum 30), 0.3 points per trailer space (maximum 30), 15 for a recorded boarding dock, 10 for a recorded restroom and 15 for hours explicitly listed as “24 Hours.” Missing or unknown values earn zero. A score of 100 means all facility thresholds are met; it does not guarantee space or a better fit for every boat.
We filter to government-owned public-access facilities with recorded motorboat lanes and an inventory status of “Open for Business,” excluding hand-only launches and names that explicitly say closed. We select two per region so the guide spans the Panhandle, North Florida, Central Florida freshwater, Gulf Coast, Space & Treasure coasts, South Florida and Keys. These are regional leaders under this method, not the statewide top 14 without geographic limits. The inventory status is not a live closure check.
