YOUR KIND OF WATER / Beach days & snorkeling

Plan the beach day. Check the entry.

Use wind, wave and weather context to choose your hours, then check beach flags, water quality and local guidance.

Compare your hours ↗

01

Keep swimming and snorkeling distinct

A calm-looking surface does not establish underwater visibility or the conditions at depth. Visibility remains unknown unless a relevant source reports it.

02

Read local guidance first

Check beach flags, lifeguard instructions, entry and exit conditions and applicable activity zones. An offshore wave forecast is not a rip-current assessment at your beach.

03

Look at the sample date

Water-quality samples describe a place and time. A missing sample or advisory is not confirmation that the water is suitable.

What this cannot tell you

Underwater visibility, bacteria levels and breaking surf at your entry are not inferred from a general marine forecast.
